putting an SSD in a PS3 was pretty useless as the motherboard did not have the bandwith to take advantage of the technology, let alone a 7200.
But I'm guessing this time around sony has made sure it would be worthwhile to put in an SSD.

There's a serious drought in Nintendo's catalog. the console came out too early or nobody genuinely knows what to do of the gamepad, and development is stuck.

People you need to relax, the PS4 and Xbox one might be really powerful, their launch games are running on 1st cycle middleware engine. They haven't been completely tweaked to make the best use of the architecture.
I guess that we will see 1080p/60fps being the norm in 2015.
